We’ve all been there sweaty palms, clenched jaw, on the verge of totally failing it. Offense isn’t the most satisfying feel, so it’s not quite surprising that it can also take a toll on your health. A current study even discovered that people who completed a set of challenging duties.

A current study concerning anger’s effect on heart fitness found that even brief spurts of offense may have a harmful effect.

For the analysis, printed in the Journal of the American Heart Association, investigators drafted 208 healthy young grown-ups. They took blood specimens and blood pressure tasks before and after training participants to complete one of four studies:

The scientists found that, compared to players in the other three levels, the blood vessels of those who reviewed anger-related recollections had a diminished ability to dilate. When blood vessels can’t dilate, they consume more time to constrict and can highlight nature.
